- Smart Thermostat Application, completed and submitted
- Itemized receipt or online purchase confirmation email
- Third Party Payment Addendum, for applicants who would like to forward payment to a third party not listed on the utility account.
- IRS W-9 Form, if applicable (?)
4) Sign and submit
Qualifications
- Must be an existing single family, multifamily, or manufactured home. New construction does not qualify.
- Multifamily homes up to 3 units qualify
- Smart thermostat must be ENERGY STAR® certified and listed on the Qualified Products List at time or purchase
- Electrically heated home’s current heating source must be an electric furnace or heat pump
- Electrically cooled homes’ current cooling source must be a central air conditioner
- Homes are eligible for two smart thermostat incentives, includes the redemption of Wattsmart instant coupons. If a customer is applying for more than two smart thermostats, please contact the program before applying as additional information is required.
- If a customer reserved a wattsmart instant coupon, an online/paper application is considered ineligible for an incentive
- Application must be submitted within 90 days of the purchase date
Incentives are associated with the most recent tariff filing approved by the Wyoming Public Service Commission. All incentives are subject to change with 45 days’ notice. Additional terms and conditions may apply.

*Applicable only to businesses and non-individual customers, including landlords, applying for incentives.
Residential electric customers residing in the state of Wyoming who purchase their electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on rate schedules 2 or 18 qualify. Landlords who own rental properties served by the company in the state of Wyoming where the tenant is billed on rate schedules 2 or 18 also qualify for this program. You can locate your rate schedule on your bill or by calling 1-888-221-7070. Incentive checks are only issued in the name of the Rocky Mountain Power accountholder.
